Transforming the sun’s light into heat energy keeps the life inside the greenhouse growing. Greenhouses provide a safe and controlled environment for the flowers. But what happens when this safe cocoon is shattered, transitioning from the warm inner environment to the ever-changing outer world? Breaking the glass frees the flowers to grow outside the glass cage, but also leaves them open to the harshness of the world. How will they adapt, which will grow strong, and which will wilt away unable to handle the pressures of their new environment?

Food Web of the Gulf of Alaska
Created realistic movements for illustrated aquatic creatures by using puppet tools in Unity and After Effects. Created background particle, lights, water surface, water and surface cloud assets to match the environment of the creatures in the game.
Worked with game team to design and make a 2D single-player, educational survival game in which the player takes on the role of several microscopic marine species and learns about energy transference through the food web via predator-prey relationships in the Alaskan marine ecosystem. Microcosm Film in collaboration with University of Alaska Fairbanks and funding from the National Science Foundation.

Inner and Outer
